Full-Time Personal Lines Assistant

The Personal Lines Assistant Insurance Representative will be responsible for assisting account executives and producers by handling transaction-oriented processes and workflows for clients. Maintain orderly client files and complete  utilization according to agency workflows and procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Issue certificates of insurance and evidence (renewals and midterm)
  • Issue endorsement binders to carriers or via carrier website
  • Prepare applications as needed
  • Prepare proposals, loss summaries and other spreadsheets
  • Send out applications to the marketplace– via email or carrier centralized email address or website
  • Request loss runs
  • Input/update policy information in EPIC
  • Follow up on policies, endorsements, etc. to carriers
  • Policy checking
  • Online endorsement processing and/or application submission
  • Cover letters for routine endorsements
  • Schedules of insurance
  • Take calls from car dealers for vehicle changes
  • Create & update Excel spreadsheets

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or the recognized equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years insurance experience (not necessary however preferred)

            

Technology Skills:

  • Epic or similar agency management software experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance
  • Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
